The Approach

The Nehemiah Project: Bridging the gap for human suffering

The Nehemiah Project is the community development, rebuilding, consultancy, and engagement portion of Go Ye that bridges the gaps that cause human suffering. The approach is through collaboration, engagement, strategy development, and dialogue to bring a state of healing, wholeness, sufficiency, entrepreneurship, growth, literacy, and family cohesiveness.

The Nehemiah Project is based on the book of Nehemiah in the bible. As you know, the old testament prophet, Nehemiah, was active in the years 464-423 B.C. He left Babylon in 445 B.C. to assist his people in Jerusalem. While doing so, he confronted an environment of despair, hopelessness, and physical danger. His efforts and those of the people he worked with resulted in the successful rebuilding of the wall around Jerusalem. The work of Nehemiah is exemplary for these times.

We Meet Challenges Head-On, And Follow Biblical Principles

Like Nehemiah, we aren’t afraid to address challenges head-on, and we follow the biblical principles of:

    Individual Preparedness

Individual preparedness to the call to action; we’re ready for the call.

    Partner to God

Like Nehemiah, we partner first with God.

    Local Partnership

We partner with all local authorities.

    Church and Community

We form lasting partnerships with God’s church and with local communities.

    Disaster Preparedness

We provide project management and and help the infrastructure through disaster readiness and disaster preparations.

    A Full Engaged Community: Rebuilding

Under The Nehemiah Project, the community must be willing to fully engage and participate in the rebuilding. They must be willing to take ownership of the work and bring their resources to help facilitate healing, reconciliation, growth, and progress. The Nehemiah Project partners with local communities, organizations, and leaders in providing strategic planning as well as project management in order to bring communities together and help bridge the gaps that potentially cause human suffering. In all programs, the gospel must be preached.

The Nehemiah Project Depends On Donations From Partners

The Nehemiah Project’s role is to provide spiritual guidance, coaching, project management, and support, strategic planning, skills training, and community partnerships in launching projects and initiating programs.
