The Approach

Discipleship: Multiplication and Additions

At Go Ye Ministries, we believe that the Kingdom of God is about multiplications and additions. And for us this means active discipleship everywhere we GO.

As Jesus commissioned us to GO, we have the obligation to heed the call to go into the unreached places and the unreached peoples, to spread the gospel.

We, therefore, apply the Person of Peace strategy, that Jesus gave as instructions to his disciples in Matthew 10 and Luke 9!

We Identify, Equip and Send Missionaries

Seeking People and Families of Peace

We identify, train, equip, and send missioners and disciple-makers into new communities after extensive prayer. When the missioners get into the new communities, they look for opportunities to meet these felt needs. They also look for opportunities to close or fill gaps through community service, education, and training, business, or charity.

As they meet and interact with people, they build strong relationships as they openly share the message of God’s Kingdom and his love. Through the interactions, they identify the person or family of peace, and they focus their discipleship effort on this person and their family, equipping them and helping them to learn ways of studying the word of God, searching through scripture, and listening from the Holy Spirit for revelation.

The person of peace doesn’t necessarily have to be a believer at the time when identified.

He or she needs:

Open and Curious

To be open and have a curious spirit to know more about God and his word.

A Sense of Influence

Have a sense of influence on family, friends, or his/her community

Community builder

Have a natural ability to bring people together or introduce them to his/her sphere of life.

Baptism and Ongoing Discipleship

Once the person of peace believes and is baptized, the missioner continues to disciple and guide them to a strong foundation of prayer and studying God’s word.

From there a house bible study or prayer group is formed with the network of friends and family she or he has. As the group grows, we help to meet the requirements of this house church, and a pastoral leader is appointed and trained to lead this body of Christ.

Our Missioners

We are focused on healthy, biblical discipleship, and a thriving local church that functions in unity with the greater body of Christ. As a result our missionaries must be:

  • Born again men and women that have an in-depth knowledge of the word of God and His voice
  • Patient and willing to stay in a given community for extended periods of time until the church is established. At least a year commitment is required
  • Willing to disciple, mentor, and coach others that have little-to-no knowledge of scripture, without being judgmental
  • Able to build strong and trusted relationships while keeping Jesus at the center
  • Disciplined and scandal-free
  • Prayerful
  • Have an ability to identify needs or gaps in the community and develop opportunities for people while pointing them to Jesus

We partner with local and international ministers to train and build the capacity of the missioners and send them to the mission field.
